Park Hours

11:00 AM to 4:00 PM

11am Park opens

12noon Snack stand opens

11:30am Train rides start

31803 S. Shady Dell Rd. Molalla, Oregon

Come on by, stretch your legs, and let your kids run around a little; ride some trains, pick up snacks or lunch, and have a picnic while our volunteers make sure you’re having a great day.

Kindness is priceless and it is everything to us to see a big smile on your faces.

We’re 100% volunteer-run, by the way, and most of the trains you see are both owned and operated by skilled engineer members. Please thank them for giving their time to provide rides!

The Park sits on 4 acres of land with a picnic area, covered pavilion, and picnic tables that can accommodate up to 200 people surrounded by ponds, shrubs, bridges, trees, and 4200 feet of track (7.5″ gauge).

Rides last 7-10 minutes and are open to all ages.

There is no fee collected at the entrance to the park or for the train rides. We are funded by the generous donations of those who visit and enjoy the park. Your kind contributions are greatly appreciated in helping us maintain this little property we call our Train Park home.

Know before you go

Please take a look at the directions, park rules and disclaimer so you know what to expect when you come visit.

While at the park

Food and  beverages are welcome on the grounds and in the queue area, but not on the trains.

While you are in the park please follow the directions of our signage, and please do not move picnic tables, as they are positioned for the accessibility of our guests.

Trains will begin running promptly at the time noted above with the last trains leaving the station 15 minutes prior to the park closing. The Park closes promptly at 4.

The Snack Stand

Our Concession stand is located within the depot at the center of the park, serving a selection of classic Americana snacks and lunch food.

We have both hot and cold foods, including pepperoni pizza, super-dogs, chili dogs, cheese nachos, caramel popcorn, soda, ice cream, snow cones, root beer floats, Italian sodas, chips, candy and more.

Souvenirs? We got ’em. T-shirts, engineer hats, whistles… everything you’d want to remember your day and continue the fun at home.

Birthday parties

Birthday parties are by reservation only on Saturdays.

No walk-in birthday parties or functions will be allowed, with no exceptions.
