Shady Dell Train Park is entirely run by volunteers and relies on donations in order to operate. We are a 501(C)(3) non-profit corporation.
We take pride in our role as the guardians of a family destination that has been a staple of the Willamette Valley for 70 years. We work hard to ensure that your generous donations are used wisely:
- We regularly upgrade our guest amenities.
- Rail, rock ballast, ties, and switches are upgraded and replaced to keep our track safe and smooth.
- Locomotives are serviced and rebuilt to ensure reliable operation, and fuel tanks are kept full.
- Riding cars also need regular inspection and overhaul, ensuring guests can enjoy their ride in comfort and safety.
- We maintain the park and all its buildings.
